Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for any student within the building as directed by the BCBA or Behavior Coach.
- Aid in the onboarding of new paraprofessionals by providing direct coaching, modeling of behavioral techniques, and guidance on classroom protocols.
- Maintain rigorous and accurate behavioral data logs; assist the BCBA in graphing and analyzing data to monitor student progress.
- Serve as a key member of the building's crisis response team, utilizing district-approved de-escalation and physical intervention strategies (CPI).
Required Qualifications & Credentials
- Must hold and maintain a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or be actively enrolled in a program upon hire.
- Education: High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
- Must be able to lift minimum 30 lbs.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience working with students with significant behavioral needs. Proven track record of high-fidelity data collection and implementation of complex BIPs.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Versatility: Ability to transition quickly between different grade levels and student profiles (K-5) throughout the school day.
- Leadership & Coaching: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively model behavioral strategies for peers and newer staff members.
- Independence: Ability to work under the general supervision of a BCBA while exercising sound clinical judgment in the moment.
- Organization: Excellence in time management and data entry to ensure all behavioral documentation is current.

To be established by the school board by August 10th, 2026-2027.
