About the role

Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to deliver exceptional social work services to hospice patients and their families. The role involves counseling, guidance, and support to enhance emotional well‑being and coping capacity during challenging times.

Coverage Area: Brownwood and surrounding counties.

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Assess and communicate psychosocial status to the RN Case Manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Evaluate medical needs, home situations, financial resources, and community support.
• Implement personalized social work plans and collaborate with the Bereavement Coordinator.
• Shape care plans, attend interdisciplinary meetings, and address psychosocial stresses.
• Provide empathetic counseling to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
• Licensed as a Social Worker by the State Board of Social Work (TX).
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a social worker in a healthcare setting; hospice experience preferred.
• Long‑term care or medical‑surgical/acute‑care experience preferred.

Pay

$34.00 – $38.00 per hour (average pay range). Final compensation will be determined based on experience and specific responsibilities.
