Social Worker - Fee for Service

About the Role

The Jewish Board’s Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person-centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, instill hope, and strengthen resiliency. This position provides clinical services as part of an Article 31 OMH certified outpatient MHOTRS clinic located in diverse communities, serving individuals of all ages and their families using a trauma-informed, evidence-based, racially and culturally affirming approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessments.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate) to identify treatment needs and interventions; review and revise treatment plans to reflect client’s progress and changing goals.
• Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment, and crisis services/interventions.
• Be actively self-reflective and self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and communities served.
• Approach work with an anti-racist lens and remain open to continuous learning and evolution.
• Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care.
• Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required trainings, and supervision; be open to receiving constructive feedback.
• Maintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies, and/or funding sources.
• Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association, and the Jewish Board policies and procedures.
• Attend case conferences as needed and maintain a steady, active caseload while meeting minimum expectations for kept visits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program.
• New York State License or limited permit in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or social work (LMSW) required.
• Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred.
• Fluency in a second language is preferred.

Skills

• Experience documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with telemental health platforms is a plus.
• Ability to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs.

Work Environment

Hybrid work setting combining in-person and remote work. Allocation of time and locations will be developed in collaboration with the Senior Program Director based on program and client needs. Travel is required between program locations and other Jewish Board sites.
