About the Role
This position serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program, providing advanced social work services within the Behavioral Health Administration.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program at a regional level.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including courts, mental health providers, and law enforcement, to ensure program compliance and effectiveness.
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to social workers and other mental health professionals involved in the AOT Program.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Develop and deliver training for program staff, community partners, and other relevant parties.
- Prepare reports and presentations for state and local agencies regarding program progress and challenges.
- Serve as a liaison between the Behavioral Health Administration and regional entities to facilitate communication and resource sharing.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) in the State of Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum of three years of post-graduate clinical social work experience, with at least one year in a supervisory or program coordination role.
- Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and familiarity with court-ordered treatment programs.
- Strong knowledge of Maryland’s mental health system, including relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
