About the Role

This position serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program, providing advanced social work services within the Behavioral Health Administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program at a regional level.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders, including courts, mental health providers, and law enforcement, to ensure program compliance and effectiveness.
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to social workers and other mental health professionals involved in the AOT Program.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
• Develop and deliver training for program staff, community partners, and other relevant parties.
• Prepare reports and presentations for state and local agencies regarding program progress and challenges.
• Serve as a liaison between the Behavioral Health Administration and regional entities to facilitate communication and resource sharing.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) in the State of Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum of three years of post-graduate clinical social work experience, with at least one year in a supervisory or program coordination role.
• Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and familiarity with court-ordered treatment programs.
• Strong knowledge of Maryland’s mental health system, including relevant laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
