Job Duties

• Works with a treatment team to provide quality care and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health (mental health and substance use) treatment.
• Utilizes available community resources and/or referrals to a care manager and provides psychiatric assistance to consumers who have a behavioral health diagnosis.
• Provides ongoing therapy, including crisis intervention, to individuals and families in one-on-one and/or group treatment.
• Plans, prioritizes, and manages clinical treatment services for complex behavioral health cases.
• Completes initial biopsychosocial assessments, annual reassessments, ASIs, and all assigned screening tools in accordance with NEDHSA policy.
• Develops and implements treatment plans for consumers receiving services related to a behavioral health diagnosis, in accordance with LDH guidelines.
• Attends in-service trainings for staff, completes required trainings promptly, and assists with the collection of data for the TOMS and QOC surveys, as assigned.

Position-Specific Details

• Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty
• Location: Bastrop Integrated Care Clinic
• Compensation: NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans. 2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice: NHSC will pay up to $50,000* for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians. (Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
