About the role

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support students in a school setting in Fryeburg, Maine for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, school-based position serves students from Pre-K through 8th grade, providing social-emotional support, behavioral interventions, counseling services, and collaboration with families and educational teams to help students thrive academically and personally.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments as needed
• Assist in the development and implementation of student support plans and IEP goals
• Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, families, and community providers
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student support meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school, state, and federal requirements
• Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary
• Promote a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements

• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license required
• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel
