Social Work Intern

About the role

GCBHS is the perfect place for social work students to gain hands-on experience and help individuals with mental illness, addiction, and other challenges.

Responsibilities

• Learn a variety of therapy skills and interventions including diagnostic and assessment skills, individual, group, and family interventions, crisis management, and trauma-informed care.
• Learn essential skills to prepare for your career such as using electronic health records, managing a caseload, working on a team, and exposure to evidence-based interventions.
• Treat adults and youth with Substance Use Disorder and/or Mental Health disorders.

Requirements

• Must be a current student in an accredited social work program.
• Candidate must be local - This is an in-person internship.

Someone who is tech-savvy, has strong communication skills, is open to trying new things, and can ask for help when needed.
