PURPOSE OF POSITION
To assist individuals seeking services through 2-1-1 in navigating available community resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Community Resource Navigation: Receives and responds to incoming 2-1-1 calls, individuals, families, and community organizations seeking assistance.
- Collects basic data on the caller, provides appropriate referrals to available services, and documents all demographic information, unmet needs, and referrals provided.
- Completes screening and appointment scheduling as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of human services field preferred
- Experience and interest in providing excellent customer service required
- Ability to navigate between and utilize a variety of computer applications simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable to organization scheduling requirements
- Competent in MS Office products
- Commitment to excellence and passion for the mission of United Way of Summit & Medina
