Social Work Affiliate Instructor (Content Areas of Research, Legal, and Policy)

Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students.
- Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
- Grade student work.
- Provide students with robust feedback in a timely manner.
- Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
- Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment.
- Adhere to department course coordination and Lead Faculty Model policies.
- Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
- Able to adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
- Sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree, plus a minimum of two years of experience in legal areas relevant to social work practice, OR
- A Master’s in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program, plus a minimum of two years of relevant post MSW experience, OR
- A Master’s degree in related field, plus a minimum of two years of post master’s experience related relevant to social work
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) – accredited institution
- Five years of relevant post MSW or related master’s degree experience
- PhD or ABDDoctoral level course work in one or more content areas
- Two years of teaching experience relevant to one or more content areas
- Previous experience in teaching in an online environment
- Experience with diverse, historically underrepresented and/or first-generation college students
Qualifications
