Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students
  • Prepare course materials and lesson plans
  • Grade student work
  • Provide students with robust feedback in a timely manner
  • Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies
  • Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment
  • Adhere to department course coordination and Lead Faculty Model policies
  • Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies
  • Able to adapt and learn new modes of instruction
  • Sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population

Requirements

  • Master’s in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program, plus a minimum of two years of relevant post MSW experience for practice courses
  • Master’s in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program, plus a minimum of five years of relevant post MSW experience for field seminar courses

Qualifications

  • Master’s of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) – accredited institution
  • Five years of relevant post MSW or related master’s degree experience
  • PhD or ABDDoctoral level course work in one or more content areas
  • Two years of teaching experience relevant to one or more content areas
  • Previous experience in teaching in an online environment
  • Experience with diverse, historically underrepresented and/or first-generation college students
