Responsibilities
- Teach assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students
- Prepare course materials and lesson plans
- Grade student work
- Provide students with robust feedback in a timely manner
- Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies
- Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment
- Adhere to department course coordination and Lead Faculty Model policies
- Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies
- Able to adapt and learn new modes of instruction
- Sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population
Requirements
- Master’s in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program, plus a minimum of two years of relevant post MSW experience for practice courses
- Master’s in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program, plus a minimum of five years of relevant post MSW experience for field seminar courses
Qualifications
- Master’s of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) – accredited institution
- Five years of relevant post MSW or related master’s degree experience
- PhD or ABDDoctoral level course work in one or more content areas
- Two years of teaching experience relevant to one or more content areas
- Previous experience in teaching in an online environment
- Experience with diverse, historically underrepresented and/or first-generation college students
