Social Video Producer
About the role
We’re looking to add an experienced video editor to help our social media team stand out in the feed. You will work alongside a talented social team creating social-first videos for LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and beyond. You’ll play a key role in shaping how Synthesia shows up on social, from skits, product drops, and launch teasers to everyday social media campaigns.
Location: New York or London (hybrid, 3 days in office).
Responsibilities
- Edit social-first videos tailored for platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
- Collaborate with the social team to create engaging content, including skits, product drops, launch teasers, and campaigns.
- Shoot and direct footage, working with creators, our founder, and internal spokespeople to capture authentic moments.
- Apply motion design basics (e.g., After Effects, Figma) to enhance videos without relying on stock elements.
- Provide creative input—suggest alternative openings, identify standalone clips, and contribute ideas rather than just executing orders.
- Ensure content aligns with platform best practices while maintaining a unique, brand-aligned perspective.
Requirements
- Standout video editing portfolio demonstrating taste and creativity within brand guidelines.
- Experience editing for organic social media, with a focus on the critical first 3 seconds.
- Proficiency in shooting and directing—comfortable capturing footage with a unique point of view.
- Basic motion design skills to add movement without relying on stock assets.
- Strong platform literacy across TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels.
- Self-sufficient and seasoned mentality—able to identify and communicate when something isn’t working and ship when ready.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience using GenAI tools (e.g., Google Veo3, Pika).
- Design skills.
- B2B or SaaS experience.
