Social Services Supervisor - Behavioral Health

About the role

Otter Tail County is accepting applications for a full-time Social Services Supervisor in the Behavioral Health Unit. The purpose of this position is to supervise the Behavioral Health Team programs including, but not limited to, Children and Adult Mental Health Case Management, Chemical Health, Jail Community Re-entry Program, Adult Intake Services, and Adult Protection and all related guidelines, rules, and regulations. This position plays a primary role in the regional Adult Mental Health Initiative and Otter Tail County Emergency Preparedness as it relates to Human Services and Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Behavioral Health Team programs including Children and Adult Mental Health Case Management, Chemical Health, Jail Community Re-entry Program, Adult Intake Services, and Adult Protection.
• Interpret and assess policies and supervise professional, paraprofessional, and office support personnel assigned to the social services division/team.
• Plan, organize, assign, schedule, monitor, coordinate, and evaluate the work of team members.
• Provide training and guidance to staff.
• Provide diagnostic and consultative services within the specialty area.
• Develop programs, policies, and procedures.
• Allocate resources in program areas by developing budgets and monitor financial transactions.
• Negotiate contracts with providers.
