Social Service Coordinator
About the Role
The Director of Social Services reports to the Administrator and provides medically related social services to meet the needs of residents and their families. This role aims to assist residents in maintaining or improving their ability to manage everyday physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.
The director will collaborate with other personnel, medical staff, social service agencies, organizations, and third-party payors. A current working knowledge of policies, procedures, benefits, and forms of assistance—along with state and federal regulations—is required. The role also demands a general understanding of communication skills and family dynamics.
The director is expected to participate in professional organizations and continuing education related to the position.
Responsibilities
