Social Service Caseworker
About the role
The Caseworker will provide resources to clients and assist in the food pantry.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and direct calls
- Enter applicant information into Excel spreadsheets through The Salvation Army online database
- Assist clients in the social service lobby
- Maintain client records, donations, and Salvation Army statistics
- Intake clients seeking emergency food box and utility assistance
- Maintain cleanliness of pantry, stock shelves, and fill food boxes
- Provide data entry for social services
- Auxiliary with Christmas events
- Participate in staff meetings
- Pick up donations
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CA Driver’s license (required)
- 21 years old (required)
- Experience with Microsoft programs (required)
- Experience in Social Services (1 year preferred)
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Team player
- Detail oriented
