About the role
The Center for Dissemination and Implementation (CDI) in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences leads implementation science efforts to bring the latest treatments to patients. CDI hosts three federally funded centers, including the national Center for Mental Health Implementation Support (CMHIS), a 5‑year project to create accessible implementation‑science resources and provide high‑impact technical assistance to mental health providers. The Social Science Research Professional 2 will serve as a project coordinator primarily on CMHIS, coordinating national workgroups of implementation science and mental‑health experts, conducting literature reviews, supporting writing and compilation of reports, working with national partners to evaluate the project, collaborating with five bi‑regional centers to collect outcome data, and engaging in qualitative and quantitative research on CMHIS services. This role offers a chance to advance research skills, join a friendly and productive team, and contribute to public health.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing experiments, exercising independent initiative and judgment; defining variables, formulating hypotheses, selecting subjects/sources, and planning/coordinating experimental protocols.
- Adapt or work out details of new, nonstandard procedures with supervisor guidance.
- Interpret, synthesize, and analyze data using scientific or statistical techniques.
- Solve problems and make decisions that affect research direction and contribute independently to the project.
