Social Media Video Specialist

About the role

Our Specialist program is designed for college students and recent grads to build a future career in marketing or design, offering real‑world experience, hourly pay, and the chance to work alongside full‑time team members on client projects and internal work. The position is seasonal (January–May 2027) and requires you to be located in the Greater New Orleans area and able to come to the office up to once per week.

Responsibilities

• Work on real assignments and projects for local and national clients.
• Collaborate with full‑time employees and handle tasks independently.
• Help brainstorm video ideas for clients and agency content.
• Be in front of and/or behind the camera as needed.
• Research social‑media video trends to stay current.
• Travel to shoots around the New Orleans area.
• Grow a video marketing portfolio (not a filmmaking reel).

Requirements

• Located in the Greater New Orleans region.
• Ability to come to the office up to once per week.
• Available for the seasonal term January–May 2027.
• Reliable and able to travel to shoots around New Orleans.

Skills

• Creator’s instinct for what makes short‑form video work.
• Eye for social‑media video trends and short‑form storytelling.
• Comfort or growing confidence in front of a camera.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay

$17/hour.

Schedule

25–35 hours per week (part‑ or full‑time with a daily hour lunch break).
