About the role
The KCNA Social Media team is seeking a highly strategic and trend-savvy Social Media Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the social media landscape at a strategic level, excels at building & fostering brand love through tactical audience engagement, and thrives in coordinating cross-platform campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Develop dynamic, day-to-day social media strategies for creative content, audience engagement, and platform optimization
- Create strategic recommendations for consumer engagement initiatives and social media platform opportunities
- Ensure brand voice & strategic consistency across always-on content pipeline, campaigns & initiatives
- Consult on performance analytics and reporting in collaboration with Social Media Analysts, managing the validation of content & audience strategies
- Stay ahead of social trends, platform innovations, and emerging formats & channels to inform strategic recommendations, including Generative AI & AI-assisted content production
- Coordinate and execute community-driven initiatives across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including surprise & delight and other gifting, brand advocacy programs, and brand partnerships
- Manage brand & retailer co-creation initiatives, including outreach, concept development, and production management
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to ensure campaign alignment with brand strategy and goals
- Identify novel opportunities for rich consumer engagement including product gifting, surprise & delight initiatives, and creator partnerships
- Support the agile & reactive content production framework through social listening (i.e. mining comments, identifying category-relevant opportunities, competitor- & trend-jacking, etc.), strategic approach, and creative coordination in partnership with Social Content Creators
- Research, evaluate, and recommend proactive brand, retailer & creator collaboration opportunities, supporting coordination efforts when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in social media strategy and campaign execution
- Experience in social strategy development beyond content creation
- Experience in community management and consumer engagement initiatives
- Strong understanding of partnership coordination and creator collaboration
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and strategic best practices
- Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred)
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
- Strong analytical thinking and strategic planning abilities
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Pay
Salary Range: 87,760 – 103,680 USD
