About the Team
This Old House (part of Roku) is hiring a Social Media Manager to lead the day-to-day execution and growth of our social media presence across platforms. As we transition from an agency model to an in-house team, this role will be central to building a more agile, content-first social operation that is fully integrated with production and editorial.
Responsibilities
- Drive social media ideation and execution with the goal of growing audience, engagement, and video views across platforms
- Create and publish social content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and emerging platforms
- Manage and maintain the social calendar, including planning, scheduling, and optimizing posts across multiple brand and franchise accounts
- Oversee ~40+ social accounts across brand, show, and talent profiles, ensuring consistency and organization
- Attend pre-production calls, content meetings, and production days to identify and capture social-first content opportunities
- Coverage shoots, both with and without talent, in collaboration with production teams
- Optimize content for each platform based on format, trends, and performance insights
- Support promotion of affiliate and commerce content across social channels
- Partner with marketing on paid social campaigns, including boosting and performance optimization
- Align organic and paid efforts to maximize reach, engagement, and traffic
- Monitor comments, DMs, and audience engagement, and support day-to-day community management
- Track and report on key social metrics including growth, engagement, video performance, and traffic
- Use data and insights to continuously refine content and improve performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, editorial, marketing, and ad sales teams to support launches, campaigns, and ongoing programming
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital media
- A strong understanding of short-form video, platform-specific storytelling, and what drives performance on social
- Experience working in content-driven environments, ideally within media, entertainment, or production
- Experience supporting social campaigns, including working with content partners or influencers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows, calendars, and deadlines
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, production-driven environments and adapting quickly to changing priorities
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform decisions and optimize performance
- Familiarity with paid social, including ad setup, execution, and basic optimization
- Strong communication skills with a clear, concise writing style
- A high level of judgment, attention to detail, and understanding of social media best practices and ethics
- A self-starter who can independently manage priorities while proactively identifying new opportunities
- A collaborative, positive team player who works effectively across functions
- Comfortable with social and analytics tools such as Sprout, native platform insights, Google Analytics, and similar platforms

Schedule
- This role will be in office Monday - Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.
