About the Role
This is a part-time internship requiring 15–20 hours per week. The role is ideal for a creative individual fluent in digital marketing best practices, including viral social media trends, influencer and ambassador marketing, display advertising, and email marketing. The ideal candidate is a storyteller who understands the impact of content on customer acquisition and sales, stays current with social media strategies, and is comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Create, curate, and manage content including digital assets, social media posts, video, and more for PetSafe, SportDOG, Premier Pet, and Kurgo brands.
- Grow and engage the online community by interacting with followers in the comments.
- Contribute to the execution of the Content Calendar, aligning with key themes of the go-to-market strategy for new products, campaigns, and audience connections.
- Support and drive digital marketing efforts to increase awareness, traffic growth, lead generation, and sales.
- Create, test, iterate, and distribute engaging digital content across email, landing pages, partner websites, and native advertising.
- Integrate trends, category data, and campaign reports to refine content strategy and execution.
- Structure and report on content analytics and metrics by marketing funnel stage, mapping back to business goals.
- Manage partnerships with internal and external agencies, freelancers, and other stakeholders supporting content strategy execution.
- Collaborate with Customer Care to develop best practices for social media moderation.
- Partner with the Customer Insights team to advance Social Listening and apply insights across the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a business-related field.
- Experience with analytics and KPIs related to content marketing, including social media.
- Firsthand experience in Content Marketing, Social Media, User-Generated Content, and Influencer Marketing.
- A natural curiosity and ability to ask the right questions to understand new topics.
- Ability to express ideas in a simple, straightforward way.
- Enjoyment of collaborative environments and comfort with change, feedback, and uncertainty.
