About the role
We're looking to hire a talented, self-motivated undergraduate student for a part-time (15 hours/week) Fall internship supporting our Brand Team's social media strategy and content creation efforts, with a particular focus on TikTok.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling content for Califia’s social channels with a test-and-learn mentality
- Reach new consumers, creating a deeper resonance with a younger audience
- Confidently present data and recommendations in team settings
- Bring to life Califia’s brand voice and positioning, acting as a consumer ambassador for the brand
- Support the team in discovering the Califia Farms niche on TikTok to drive brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy amongst a younger audience (15-25)
- Work with the social team to understand performance and growth metrics to adjust creative for optimizing posts
- Engage with followers in DMs/comments where needed, across social media platforms
- Continually research social media news, updates, and trends to propose ideas on how Califia Farms can successfully show up on all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Threads, etc.)
- Ad hoc support on the Califia Farms website, Feedback Panel, and other projects that fall under the Communications Team
- Ad hoc support on Influencer and PR projects, in partnership with the Influencer & Communications Associate
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is creative, has a good sense of humor, has a keen interest in marketing for a values-driven organization, and possesses a basic knowledge of marketing principles through coursework or prior work experience.
- Candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Excellent attention to details with strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills - writing samples may be requested
- Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams
- Problem solver, able to work independently to produce quality results
- Thrives in fast-paced environment
- Very comfortable behind (and in front of) a camera and passionate about creating video content
- Innate user of social media and basic knowledge of what types of content perform well on the platform(s)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles through coursework or prior work experience
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

Benefits
- Based out of our headquarters in the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles and works in the office at least once a week, Tuesday through Thursday
Pay
$23.00/hour
