Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global social media strategy that aligns with Blue Owl’s business objectives, reinforces brand positioning, and drives measurable commercial impact globally.
  • Lead the concepting, writing, and development of high-quality, social-first content across all social media channels, ensuring platform-native copy, compelling visual assets, and cohesive brand storytelling to capture attention and drive engagement.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns, leveraging data and performance insights to continuously refine strategy and exceed key growth metrics.
  • Partner with Client Marketing, business leaders, and subject matter experts to translate complex investment themes into clear, engaging, and visually compelling social narratives.
  • Collaborate with Brand Strategy to define and maintain a on-brand voice, visual identity, and messaging framework across all social platforms.
  • Partner with Communications and Compliance on community management: developing clear governance protocols and response strategies to manage potential risks across social channels.
  • Establish clear performance benchmarks and frameworks, translating analytics into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations that demonstrate social media’s contribution to business objectives, regularly presenting findings to senior leadership.
  • Analyze data to gain insights into audience behavior, preferences, and trends, and use them to inform strategy and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience building and scaling social media programs for global brands, including executive branding and employee advocacy initiatives.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-impact social strategies, with the ability to clearly articulate ROI and influence to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in the financial services or similarly technical and regulated industries is a plus, with an understanding of compliance considerations in social communications.
  • Deep domain expertise and understanding of social platforms, their roadmaps, user behavior, and emerging trends, with a point of view on how they shape brand perception and should be reflected in our strategy and content.
  • Expert at insights, analyzing the performance of social content, search trends, cultural relevance, etc. to implement recommendations for the improvement and optimization of content and channel best practices.
  • Experience with: Hootsuite or a similar social media management platform; Canva or a similar design platform and comfortable creating visually compelling communications.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling, platform-native copy.
  • Experience building processes, governance frameworks, and scalable content operations within complex organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, drive clarity in ambiguous environments, and build relationships and consensus across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Works effectively in a lean, high-impact team environment; proactively offers support, partners well across functions, steps up to help wherever needed, and contributes to collective wins.

Pay

The base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $160,000 to $180,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
