Position Summary
The Social Media Coordinator provides day-to-day executional support for social media and digital content across multiple wine brands within the Jackson Family Wines portfolio.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Support the day-to-day execution of social media across multiple wine brands and platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant channels.
- Maintain social content calendars and help coordinate assets, approvals, deadlines and publishing schedules across brands.
- Schedule and publish organic social content in accordance with established brand plans, guidelines and channel best practices.
- Capture photo and video content at wineries, vineyards, events and other brand moments for use across social and digital channels.
- Create and edit social-first content, including short-form video, photography, Reels, Stories and other platform-specific assets.
- Adapt and resize existing brand and creative assets for use across social and digital channels.
- Support community management by monitoring and responding to comments, direct messages, mentions and tagged content in accordance with established brand guidelines and response protocols.
- Engage with consumers and relevant accounts as appropriate, while escalating customer service, reputational or sensitive issues to the appropriate internal team member.
- Help coordinate social and digital content needs with internal and external creative partners, including communicating required formats, specifications, timing and deliverables.
- Partner with Brand Marketing, PR, Winemaking and Creative teams to gather and coordinate information, assets and content needed to support social media plans and execution.
- Partner with PR to assist with influencer and creator initiatives, including content coordination, asset tracking and amplification.
- Compile social performance data and assist with regular reporting to help the team understand content and channel performance.
- Provide executional support across broader digital marketing campaigns and initiatives as needed.
- Monitor social trends, emerging content formats and platform developments and share relevant ideas and opportunities with the Digital Marketing Team.
Job Requirements
- Essential Skills, Experience, And Education
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation or a related area; relevant internships or hands-on experience welcome.
- Comfortable creating social-first photo and video content, particularly short-form video.
- Familiarity with major social platforms and their content formats and basic best practices.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and publishing tools preferred.
- Experience with or willingness to learn content creation and editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut or similar platforms.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to coordinate multiple brands, deadlines and deliverables.
- Collaborative and comfortable taking direction, incorporating feedback and working with multiple internal and external partners.
- Good judgment and an understanding of the importance of representing brands appropriately in public-facing channels.
- Interest in wine, food, hospitality and lifestyle brands preferred.
- Ability to travel locally to winery and vineyard locations and occasionally support events outside standard business hours as needed.
