Social Media Content Strategist
Job Description
Only qualified Social Media Content Strategist candidates located near Dallas, TX, will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence.
Required Skills, Experience & Abilities
- 5–6 years of experience in Social Media Management for mid-size to large brands.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt rapidly to aggressive deadlines, and handle quick pivots.
- Firm understanding of organic social’s strategic role as the driver of brand awareness/love for an organization and how to strategically achieve that.
- Ability to stay ahead of social media trends to quickly pitch and execute fresh creative ideas that keep pace with internet culture.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative content and successful social media campaigns (or timely projects) that the candidate either led or assisted, in conjunction with agency partners or internal creative teams, from briefing, ideation, feedback, and eventually to completion.
- Proficiency in social media analytics reporting, comprehension of KPIs, and pulling insights from data.
Role & Responsibilities
- Hold strategic ideation sessions for timely content creation – looking for candidates who have a fresh POV and ideas to bounce off the team.
- Manage several content calendars with inputs from several cross-functional partners – organization and project management skills are a must.
- Work with agency partners and creative internal team members to create static and video social media content.
- If the candidate has creative skills with editing and graphic design, that is great.
- Collaborate heavily cross-functionally with several different teams to complete assignments and keep projects moving.
- Complete administrative or documentation needs, including assisting with building reports, presentations, social plans, strategies, and more for multiple projects at one time.
- An interest in public safety, gaming, or new devices/technology is ideal.
