About the Role

The Social Marketing Manager will support the development of in-platform (social, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.) paid media strategy, execution, optimization, and campaign management. This role requires strong platform knowledge and hands-on experience to develop strategic and creative recommendations, ensuring flawless execution to meet brand objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments, present confidently, and embrace continuous improvement through testing and learning.

This position is based at our West Los Angeles, CA office with a hybrid schedule: in-office Monday–Wednesday and remote Thursday–Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for social and YouTube paid media campaigns.
  • Support the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager in aligning media KPIs with business objectives.
  • Contribute to brainstorming, cross-department planning, and digital marketing strategy for paid social platforms and YouTube.
  • Present plans to internal stakeholders and the Marketing Team.
  • Manage timelines and coordinate with Marketing, Project Management, Creative, In-House Social Content Team, and PR for asset delivery.
  • Communicate needs with Ad Ops or specialists for tagging and optimization setup.
  • Ensure best practices in campaign building, testing, and performance analysis.
  • Optimize campaigns and test strategies to drive performance and learning.
  • Track spending and validate media partner invoices.
  • Problem-solve with media vendor platforms and stay updated on platform changes impacting paid opportunities.
  • Research digital trends, attend industry seminars, and share insights with the team.
  • Actively contribute to the agency’s culture and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in social marketing, with a proven track record in planning, executing, and optimizing paid digital campaigns on social platforms and YouTube.
  • Active usage and native understanding of digital platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snap, etc.).
  • Strong proficiency in Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads (video), and social media management platforms like Hootsuite.
  • Familiarity with GA/GTM for campaign optimization and tracking.
  • Experience with testing, measurement, and data analysis (Excel proficiency required).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate and sell strategic concepts.
  • Knowledge of organic platforms and their relationship to paid amplification.
  • Dependability, flexibility, resourcefulness, and a sense of ownership for brands.
  • Passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Understanding of community management/social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch) is a plus.
  • Facebook Blueprint or other social certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEM/SEO and email marketing is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Marketing, Communications, or Business.

Pay

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000, with potential for a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills and experience.
