What You Will Do

  • Provide homework help to youth in reading, writing, spoken English, and basic math skills.
  • Build social and emotional skills using Second Step Curriculum and mindful transitions and mindful school curriculum.
  • Support and enrich services.
  • Assist with homework in a small group format, occasionally one-on-one, in the areas of reading, writing, spoken English, and basic math skills.
  • Manage small groups, conduct lessons, and make weekly observations related to pro-social behavior outcomes and motivation to learn.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Part Time Hours: 29 hours per week for 37 weeks school's calendar schedule

What You Will Need

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience in education field/teaching/tutoring preferred, working with youth
  • Ability to communicate well with other stakeholders, parents, and the school system
  • Ability to work under stressful matters
  • Ability to lift and/or carry office supplies, files, etc. up to 25 pounds
