Learning Support Specialist (Part-Time)

Overview

The Learning Support Specialist (Part-Time) at DeSales University supports an accessible and welcoming learning environment for students with disabilities. This role involves developing and delivering programs to enhance learning strategies, organizational skills, and executive functioning skills; providing individual student support; and educating students on navigating higher education successfully, with a focus on athletes, neurodiverse students, and linguistically diverse students. Additionally, the position assists with test proctoring and evaluates documentation for accommodation determinations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education program
• Passionate about helping students achieve academic success
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using software and technology
• Able to maintain confidentiality and comply with relevant laws, guidelines, and regulations
• Schedule requires occasional evening and weekend hours
• Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity
