What You’ll Do
- Develop and produce videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts - including lo-fi content, IRL interviews, trend-driven moments, voiceovers and beyond (both behind and in front of the camera as applicable).
- Pitch and execute weekly ideas as you collaborate with the social team - with a focus on always-on support that ladders back to our content pillars.
- Create authentic and relatable content by self-applying skincare, bodycare and mists. Must be comfortable showing face in videos.
- Collaborate with the broader consumer marketing, social and influencer teams to bring campaign and launch moments to life in a forward-thinking way.
- Create content that suits the specific channel needs and intent – with a deep understanding on how to optimize for paid when necessary.
- Concept, shoot, edit, and produce content end-to-end, from scrappy meme-style pieces to more elevated series and partnership-driven moments.
- Partner closely with the social team to develop smart, unexpected creative that aligns with brand voice and cultural trends.
- Monitor cultural trends and adapt them to our brand voice and aesthetic in real time.
- Edit content with strong attention to pacing, tone, visuals, motion and light graphics
- Select engaging thumbnails that are on-brand and add copy overlay when applicable.
- Sources on-brand trending sounds for content that are licensed for commercial use.
- Support regional and retail content requests as needed for product launches and innovation
- Be nimble, experimental, and constantly pushing the edge of what’s possible for beauty/lifestyle content – thinking outside the box and being inspired by all industries
- Capture behind-the-scenes content at events and tailor it to the platform (photoshoots, launch events, Sephora store visits, etc.)
- Support scripting and copywriting where appropriate to ensure content messaging delivers on the intended purpose of the creative
Must Haves
- 2–4 years of experience in content creation or social media, either for a brand or a personal channel
- Proficiency in shooting and editing with mobile tools, full Adobe suite and CapCut.
- Comfortable on camera with an authentic, engaging presence—and at ease self-applying product on-screen.
- A strong understanding of what’s trending, what’s about to trend, and what makes content pop.
- An obsession with the arts, you are interested in various creative mediums and understand how they inspire the digital landscape
- You bring high energy, low ego, and a clear creative point of view.
- You think in communities, not just followers - and you care deeply about how brands interact with people.
- A love for storytelling, style, and expressing creativity through visual identifies
Salary Range
$80,000 - $90,000 USD
