About the role
Beanstalk Consulting runs done-for-you outbound marketing (cold email, LinkedIn, paid ads) for B2B companies. Founder Dean Fiacco builds a personal brand around the business's operations, sharing real numbers and avoiding embellishment, across YouTube, podcasts, and short-form clips.
This role involves:
- Editing long-form video (YouTube episodes, podcast appearances, interviews)
- Cutting short-form clips from that footage or other sources
- Contributing to the content creation process
- Maintaining the content pipeline
- Adding captions, banners, and graphics
- Building and maintaining thumbnail templates
- Editing video ad creative for paid social
- Providing feedback on content placement and quality
What you'll do
- Edit long-form video (YouTube episodes, podcast appearances, interviews)
- Cut finished short-form clips from that footage, or from other source material, for Instagram, TikTok, X, and Shorts
- Help choose what gets made next
- Own the queue, chasing down raw footage and moving it through the process
- Add captions, banners, and graphics that look natural on the platform
- Build and maintain a thumbnail template for consistency
- Edit video ad creative for paid social
- Provide feedback on the placement and quality of content
What you bring
- Experience editing both long-form (podcast, YouTube, interview) and short-form (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for long-form editing, and CapCut or similar for short-form
- An eye for pacing and knowing when a moment is suitable for a clip
- A preference for native-feeling designs over polished ones
- Comfort with analyzing view-through and retention data to adjust future content
- Organized enough to manage your own production queue and contribute to briefs
- Effective communication skills, ready to address bottlenecks immediately
Nice to have
- Use of an AI-assisted clipping tool (Opus Clip, Descript, Submagic, etc.)
- Basic thumbnail or graphic design skills (Canva or Photoshop)
- Experience with motion graphics in After Effects
- Some familiarity with editing video ad creative for paid social
- Experience editing for a personal brand or solo creator, ensuring consistency across all content
Contract (1099), fully remote
Location: Tampa, FL is a plus if you prefer to work in person occasionally. Starting with 20 hours per week at $2,000-3,000/month, with room to scale to full-time as content volume grows, with negotiation of the rate at that time. A short paid test project on real footage is followed by a 60-day probationary period once you're in.
