We are seeking a creative and trend-savvy Social Content Designer + Editor to support our social media team on a part-time contract basis. This role is responsible for bringing brand storytelling to life through engaging, social-first content across multiple platforms.

About the role

The ideal candidate is highly fluent in social media trends and internet culture, with a strong eye for design, video editing, and visual storytelling. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. You may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.

Responsibilities

  • Design social-first templates, graphics, and creative assets for platforms such as Instagram Stories, Reels, and in-feed content.
  • Capture, edit, and optimize photo and video content for social media channels.
  • Create high-quality, narrative-driven video edits that align with brand voice and visual standards.
  • Collaborate with social media and creative teams to develop, storyboard, and refine content concepts.
  • Identify and incorporate emerging social media trends, editing techniques, motion design, and animation into content strategies.
  • Ensure all creative assets are visually compelling, platform-appropriate, and delivered on schedule.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience creating and editing content for social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with After Effects preferred.
  • Comfortable both shooting and editing short-form video content.
  • Strong understanding of visual composition, typography, color, and design principles.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends, content formats, and platform best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa such as a H-1B, TN, or O visa.
  • Physically located in and able to perform the work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating animations or motion graphics.
  • Agency experience.
  • Experience supporting consumer, lifestyle, beauty, or retail-focused brands.
