Soccer Shots Evening/Saturday Youth Soccer Part-Time Soccer Coach

About the Role

Soccer Shots - Macomb County is looking for a passionate part-time soccer coach to serve children ages 2 - 8. Programs run in Shelby Township, Macomb Township, Clinton Township, Sterling Heights, Harrison Township, and Chesterfield at daycares, preschools, community centers, parks, schools, and churches.

Coaches must be available three days a week, Monday through Friday, with weekday evenings (5:00pm - 7:30pm) and Saturday mornings (9:15am - 11:45am) required. Classes are 35 - 45 minutes long.

Responsibilities

• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
• Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must commit to at least the next 3 - 4 seasons (9 - 12 months); ideal candidates seek long-term employment (12+ months) and growth opportunities.
• Must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and animated, able to connect with children ages 2 - 8 and make Soccer Shots the highlight of their week.
• Soccer experience is helpful but not required; familiarity with soccer and a passion for working with children are sufficient.
• Must have reliable transportation and daily access to a computer, printer, and internet.
