Soccer Shots Youth Soccer Coach for Afternoon and Evening Classes

About the role

Soccer Shots is seeking part-time instructors to lead 30-minute soccer sessions for children aged 2-8 in the Greater Indianapolis area (Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion Counties) and West Lafayette/Lafayette. This is a unique opportunity to join the #1 Children's Fitness franchise in the country, where instructors are passionate about impacting children positively.

Responsibilities

• Lead 30-minute soccer sessions for children aged 2-8
• Engage and interact with groups of up to 12 children
• Ensure accurate attendance and effective communication with the Soccer Shots director of coaching
• Work flexible schedules, including afternoons and evenings, with some mornings available
• Work at multiple locations, instructing 2-4 consecutive sessions
• Receive training and support from experienced staff

Requirements

• Responsible: Arrive on time, manage a group of 10 or more children, keep accurate attendance, communicate effectively with the Soccer Shots director of coaching
• Professional: Maintain neat appearance, be friendly and courteous with daycare center staff and parents, display self-assurance
• Enthusiastic: Enjoy working with young children, connect with them on their level, make the Soccer Shots class the best 30 minutes of their week, be outgoing and animated, able to be silly with the children
• Soccer experience is helpful, but familiarity with the game is sufficient
• Working with children: Experience engaging and interacting with 2-8 year olds
• Transportation: Own and have reliable access to a vehicle
• Equipment: Own and have daily access to a computer, printer, and internet

Pay

$34.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule

Available three full days a week, Monday-Friday, or all afternoons/evenings or mornings Monday-Friday. Afternoon classes run from about 2:00-5:00pm and evening classes run from approximately 4:30-7:30pm.

Qualifications

• Commitment to at least the next 3-4 seasons (9-12 months)
• Looking for long-term employment (12 months) and growth opportunities

Skills

• Ability to handle a group of 10 or more children
• Outgoing and animated personality
• Experience working with children aged 2-8
• Familiarity with the game of soccer
