About the Role

The incumbent will direct or assist in directing a competitive soccer program, meeting Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) requirements. The coach serves as a mentor and positive role model for students, fostering athletic and academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
• Develop young athletes while cultivating a strong, competitive team culture with good sportsmanship and classroom excellence.
• Mentor, train, and educate athletes in soccer skills, techniques, and game strategies.
• Foster a winning culture on and off the field, emphasizing safety and injury prevention.
• Adhere to UHSAA requirements and Granite School District policies.
• Continue or build a program with strong traditions, including scheduling, equipment management, fundraising, and budget oversight.
• Support and promote youth feeder programs and community engagement.
• Model professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
• Promote an inclusive team environment where all student-athletes are treated with respect and dignity.

Requirements

• Cleared background check through Granite School District (cost covered by the district).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of required trainings and certifications, including anti-bullying/hazing, concussion training, and First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience preferred, particularly at the high school level or higher.
• Current Granite School District teachers under contract do not need to apply but should express interest directly to the school.

Pay

Stipend only.
