About the role
The Program Manager oversees the SNUG initiative, focusing on reducing and preventing shootings and killings through community mobilization, public education, and partnerships with law enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate implementation of SNUG model and manage SNUG team
- Operationalize core components of SNUG approach: outreach, community mobilization, public education, and relationship with local law enforcement representatives
- Develop community partners
- Work to develop resources for participants and staff
- Develop a strategic plan for program staff
- Plan and execute community norm change events
- Work with Outreach Supervisor four hours per week in the target area
- Program liaison with local police department
- Manage program data to ensure compliance with funding standards
- Supervise Outreach Worker Supervisor
- Conduct team meetings
- Help plan and participate in shooting responses
Qualifications/Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven management experience (monitoring budgets, programmatic progress to goals)
- Proven community organizing abilities
- Proven ability to document programmatic activities and assist others
- Experience and/or training in staff supervision
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and insurance
- Experience working with at-risk youth and gang members
- Knowledge of affected communities
- No pending criminal cases or prior convictions for sexual assault, child abuse, or domestic violence
Pay
$60,000 - $65,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time - 35+ hours per week
