Snowsports School Director

About the role

Bittersweet Ski Resort in Otsego, Michigan is seeking a Snow Sports School Director to manage all aspects of the Snow Sports School.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Snow Sports School team member experience including but not limited to hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, appreciation/recognition, and offboarding of team members. Assure accurate and timely reporting of company payroll processes, as well as Workers Comp reporting.
• Determine and execute planning and operation of Snow Sports School pricing and programming to maximize market trends and expectations. Work with the Office Manager to determine and adjust ongoing Snow Sports Schools sales capacities.
• Develop policies and programs to promote Bittersweet’s Snow Sports School and ensure the Snow Sports School’s profitability.
• Oversee and guide the instructor training/certification programs to assure adherence to the American Teaching System and guidelines as presented by PSIA.
• Coordinate and conduct recreational events as requested.

• Minimum requirements: Must be a minimum level 2 PSIA certified instructor with at least 5 years’ experience managing staff and have a strong understanding of current ski industry/teaching trends. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and basic accounting are also required.
