Snowmaking Manager

$65k–$85k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes a paragraph about company culture etc. Could be "About the role" or "Position Summary". The instruction: use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We need to include sections only when posting has real specific content. We have: - Position Summary (some description) - Additional perks & benefits for year round employees (list of benefits) - Essential Duties & Responsibilities (list) - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements (list) - Physical Demands and Working Conditions (maybe not required heading; could be part of Requirements? But we could include as a section maybe "Working Conditions". However instruction only lists certain headings; we can use others if appropriate? It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but suggests those as examples. Safer to stick to those headings where content matches. We have content for: - About the role: could be the initial paragraph about company culture and vision? Or "Position Summary". Might be better as "About the role". We'll put that. - Responsibilities: Essential Duties & Responsibilities. - Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements. - Benefits: list of perks and benefits. - Pay: The annual compensation range. - Schedule: maybe not explicitly given; but there is mention of "Ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules during peak snowmaking periods." That's schedule info. Could include Schedule section. We also have Physical Demands and Working Conditions; could be part of Requirements or separate but not required. Might omit if not matching headings. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. We must remove boilerplate: EEO etc. At end there is "An Equal Opportunity Employer" - remove. Also remove duplicated lines. We need to preserve all substantive information. Let's extract content. Company culture paragraph: "Year Round At Stratton, we are a team of people who work extremely hard and take our jobs very seriously, without forgetting how to laugh and have fun. We choose people that display the talent and attitude that exemplify the high level of service our guests expect and deserve. Our vision is to be A BOLD MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY CULTIVATING EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCES. BESIDES GETTING PAID TO WORK AT AN INCREDIBLE RESORT, WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Stratton's team members are rewarded with job experience, opportunities for career advancement and some great lifestyle perks (eligibility based on employee type)." Then list of benefits: "Alterra Mountain Company Employee Pass - free lift access & discounts at Alterra resorts Free or discounted multi-resort dependent season passes Free or discounted IKON pass Discounted golf & fitness center memberships Employee childcare rates & discounted seasonal programs Retail + F&B discounts Friends & family tickets Onsite medical clinic Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, EAP, HSAs, & FSAs 401(k) plan with company match Discounted tuition plan Paid parental leave Paid sick time, FTO, Vacation" Then Position Summary Additional perks & benefits for year round employees (maybe duplicate). Actually after that there is "Position Summary Additional perks & benefits for year round employees". Then description of Snowmaking Manager role. Let's capture Position Summary: "Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking an experienced Snowmaking Manager to lead one of the most critical operations on the mountain. This role is responsible for the people, planning, infrastructure, and execution behind Stratton's snowmaking program, with a focus on safe operations, strong snow production, system reliability, and efficient use of resources. The Snowmaking Manager leads a large seasonal team in a fast-moving, 24/7 operating environment and works closely with Mountain Operations leadership and other mountain departments to establish terrain priorities and deliver the best possible product for our guests. This is a full-time, year-round, benefit eligible position." Then "The annual compensation for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, based on experience." Then Essential Duties & Responsibilities list (multiple bullet points). We'll convert each to
  • . Then Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements list. Then Physical Demands and Working Conditions paragraph: maybe we can include as a short

under Requirements or separate "Working Conditions". But not required headings; we could include as a

after Requirements without heading. However instruction: "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It doesn't forbid other headings but suggests those. Safer to not add extra heading; we can just include the physical demands paragraph as a

after Requirements without a heading, or incorporate into Requirements. Probably better to include as a

under Requirements (maybe as part of it). But we must preserve all substantive information; we can add a

after the qualifications list. Now Schedule: we have schedule info in qualifications: "Ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules during peak snowmaking periods." That's schedule. Could create a Schedule section with that sentence. Pay: we have compensation range. Now Benefits: we have list. Now About the role: we have initial culture paragraph plus maybe position summary? Actually About the role could be the initial culture paragraph plus position summary? But we already have Position Summary separate. Could combine: About the role includes the introductory paragraph about company culture and vision, plus maybe the position summary. However we need to avoid duplication. Let's decide: Section About the role: include the introductory paragraph about team, vision, perks (the first paragraph). That seems appropriate. Then we could have a separate section "Position Summary" but not in allowed headings. Could incorporate into About the role or Responsibilities? Better to keep About the role as the intro, and then Responsibilities separate. Thus we will not have a separate Position Summary heading; we will embed that description maybe in About the role? But the instruction says use those headings as examples; we can also use other headings if needed, but better to stick to given ones. So we will have About the role (intro), Responsibilities, Requirements, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to ensure we don't miss any substantive info: the position summary description of Snowmaking Manager role is substantive; if we don't have a heading for it, where to put? Could put it under About the role as well (makes sense). So About the role will contain both the company culture intro and the position summary description. That's okay. Now Responsibilities: list of essential duties. Requirements: list of qualifications. Benefits: list of perks. Pay: compensation range. Schedule: ability to work nights etc. Now we must not include boilerplate: "An Equal Opportunity Employer" remove. Also remove duplicated lines: there is "Additional perks & benefits for year round employees" maybe duplicate of benefits list; we already have benefits list; we can ignore that heading. Now produce HTML. Structure:

    About the role

Year Round At Stratton, we are a team of people who work extremely hard and take our jobs very seriously, without forgetting how to laugh and have fun. Stratton's team members are rewarded with job experience, opportunities for career advancement and some great lifestyle perks (eligibility based on employee type). Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking an experienced Snowmaking Manager to lead one of the most critical operations on the mountain. This is a full-time, year-round, benefit eligible position.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead Stratton's snowmaking team and oversee daily snowmaking operations, equipment, infrastructure, and maintenance.
    • Develop and execute snowmaking plans based on weather, terrain priorities, operating goals, and available resources.
    • Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop snowmaking supervisors and team members.
    • Manage the department's operating budget, labor, energy use, maintenance expenses, and key performance metrics.

    • Partner with Mountain Operations leadership on snowmaking infrastructure improvements, capital planning, and long-term system needs.
    • Coordinate closely with Grooming, Terrain Parks, Lift Operations, Ski Patrol, Vehicle Maintenance, and other departments to support mountain readiness.
    • Provide calm, decisive leadership during changing weather, high-production periods, system disruptions, and other critical operating situations.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of progressive snowmaking experience, including leadership or management experience.
    • Strong technical knowledge of snowmaking equipment, infrastructure, controls, and automated systems.
    • Experience leading teams in a 24/7 or similarly complex operating environment.
    • Experience managing labor, scheduling, budgets, and operating expenses.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
    • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
    • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
    • Project management experience
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules during peak snowmaking periods.
But we moved schedule item to Requirements; we need a separate Schedule section. However we already included that ability in Requirements; but we could keep it there and also have Schedule section? Might duplicate. Better to keep schedule info in Schedule section and remove from Requirements. Let's adjust: Requirements list without the schedule line. Then Schedule section with that line. Thus Requirements list excludes the last item. Now Schedule section:

    Schedule

Ability to work nights, early mornings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules during peak snowmaking periods.

    Now Benefits section:

    Benefits

    • Alterra Mountain Company Employee Pass - free lift access & discounts at Alterra resorts
