Snow Sports Supervisor

The Snowsports Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily lesson operations, ensuring seamless communication between instructors and guests. This role oversees instructor scheduling, lesson assignments, and guest check‑ins to provide an exceptional on‑mountain experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate instructors with daily lessons based on ability and guest need.
  • Ensure instructors are teaching proper technique appropriate to the guest’s ability level.
  • Track lesson completion and approve instructors’ tasks through Flaik.
  • Promote safety amongst staff and educate guests on how to remain safe while they ski/ride.
  • Act as a guest point of contact for any concerns or service issues.
  • Adhere to the Customer Service Standards of Camelback Resort and all company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Follow seasonal and daily service guidelines and checklists.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the Camelback Resort team.
  • Participate in the business planning process for the department and the resort.
  • Actively support all company initiatives.
  • Resolve employee and internal conflicts while adhering to Camelback Resort’s core values and guest standards.
  • Observe and enforce all resort and Learning Center policies.
  • Assist the Ski and Ride Academy daily in all other ski/snowboard school functions as required.
  • Participate in clinics and complimentary skiing/riding to continuously improve personal skills.
  • Greet guests and direct them to proper lesson locations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Level 1 PSIA/AASI certification or the ability to obtain a Level 1.
  • Ability to adapt.
  • Successful completion of instructor training provided by Camelback Resort.
  • Patience and a passion for the outdoors and teaching.
  • Capability to ski/ride for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
