Essential Duties
- Write and announce a daily snow report for a variety of ski reporting services
- Confer regularly with Mountain Operations, Information Desk, Marketing and Events, in order to compile, update and disseminate mountain condition information
- Update several websites, including Stratton.com as the day's conditions unfold
- Maintain and update internal communication of day's conditions
- Assess/monitor mountain weather conditions for changes and follows up with reporting services
- Conduct competitive resort surveys, in order to compare and assess other resort reporting information
- Process and analyze daily Grooming statistics throughout the entire season
- Smile, have fun, ski or snowboard on a daily basis and be the "Voice of Stratton"
- Assist other departments as needed
- Storyboard, film and produce on the snow content for Stratton audience
- Create written content for the Stratton Blog
- Create special projects as assigned (film and/or written)
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in both public speaking and writing
- Note that a writing sample is required
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Advanced level skier/snowboarder
- Must be a creative, well organized, team player with a high degree of energy
- Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Working knowledge of video editing software & social media
- Must be able to work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Work well independently and as a member of a team
- Be a morning person!
