SMT Technician

About the role

Provide essential technical support to maintain peak performance of the Applied Technology SMT line. Partner with engineering to monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot the assembly process, ensuring reliable production of advanced electronics.

Responsibilities

• Develop/modify, test, and debug programs for new or revised SMT applications.
• Perform preventative maintenance to include setup, test, characterization, and debugging of new or existing equipment.
• Diagnose, correct, and repair a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, and software issues to minimize downtime on the SMT line.
• Participate in the development of new or revised SMT processes.
• Knowledge and ability to set up, operate, and maintain automated equipment.
• Specific knowledge of screen printers, placement equipment, and reflow ovens is a plus.
• Knowledge of advanced rework equipment is a plus.
• Must have a working knowledge of basic electronics, mechanical principles, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive mechanisms.

Requirements

• ASEE or 1+ years of relevant manufacturing support experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts.

• Must have the ability to work various schedules as required.

Skills

• Data entry as related to computer controlled equipment.
• Effective oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must follow safe working procedures and practice impeccable housekeeping.
• Strong team player mindset, focused on collaborative problem-solving in manufacturing.

Benefits

• Target Base Salary Range: $32,700 - $51,700 USD
