SMT Assembler (Entry Level)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level SMT Assembler to join our electronics manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembly and inspection of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and inspect printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)
• Operate basic production equipment safely and efficiently, including stencil printer, pick and place machine, reflow oven, and PCBA cleaning equipment
• Use microscopes or magnification equipment for inspection
• Utilize other assembly tools as needed
• Read and interpret assembly documents and engineering drawings

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Strong computer and written skills
• Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to work with small electronic components
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a Hi‑Rel (high reliability) environment
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
• Great communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Skills

• Knowledge of IPC‑A‑610 standards
• Familiarity with electronic components
• Basic soldering experience (a plus, but not required)
• Comfortable using microscopes or magnification equipment
• Ability to operate stencil printer, pick and place machine, reflow oven, and PCBA cleaning equipment
• Ability to read and interpret assembly documents and engineering drawings
• Ability to use other assembly tools

Pay

Salary Range: $45,000 – $50,000 per year
