About the Role

Great opportunity to become a member of a unique unit—only a handful of similar units in the country. This adult medical/surgical unit cares for patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral issues. The expanding unit is looking for flexible, enthusiastic, and committed nurses to help it grow. Nurses are eligible for dual-certification in both medical/surgical nursing and psychiatric nursing after meeting the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a medical/surgical unit specializing in patients with psychiatric and behavioral co-morbidities
• Work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge duties as unit needs dictate

Requirements

• Current New York State RN license (NY license ONLY)
• Minimum of two years of recent medical/surgical experience
• Psychiatric/behavioral health experience
• Telemetry experience
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)

Schedule

Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) with weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities per unit needs. URMC will consider 48 hours billed at regular time.
