Responsibilities
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Perform cleanup duties
- Perform material handling and storage duties
- Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools
- Use and care for craft-specific tools and equipment
- Apply craft-related mathematics
- Know and apply common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and use of rigging equipment relevant to craft-specific tasks
- Know and use safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging
- Inspect rigging equipment and hardware
- Maintain and repair highways, county roads, and construction roadways resulting from traffic change patterns (e.g., reclaimed asphalt repair, striping)
- Monitor roadways for damage and advise superintendent regarding required maintenance
- Repair pavements, street furniture, and road markings
- Operate machinery and trucks, including light-duty vehicles
- Perform snow and ice removal, including snow plow operation (with Class B CDL only)
- Ensure smooth operation of traffic control and traffic control systems
- Liaise with local authorities and utility companies
- All other duties as assigned

Pay
Base Salary: $25.00 per hour (based upon experience).
