Responsibilities

• Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Perform cleanup duties
• Perform material handling and storage duties
• Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools
• Use and care for craft-specific tools and equipment
• Apply craft-related mathematics
• Know and apply common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, knot tying (bowline & clove hitch), and use of rigging equipment relevant to craft-specific tasks
• Know and use safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging
• Inspect rigging equipment and hardware
• Maintain and repair highways, county roads, and construction roadways resulting from traffic change patterns (e.g., reclaimed asphalt repair, striping)
• Monitor roadways for damage and advise superintendent regarding required maintenance
• Repair pavements, street furniture, and road markings
• Operate machinery and trucks, including light-duty vehicles
• Perform snow and ice removal, including snow plow operation (with Class B CDL only)
• Ensure smooth operation of traffic control and traffic control systems
• Liaise with local authorities and utility companies
• All other duties as assigned

• Work both inside and outside

Pay

Base Salary: $25.00 per hour (based upon experience).
