SME IV – Statistician

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Project PI and other biostatisticians to achieve the goals of the projects.
  • Provides guidance in appropriate statistical methods as well as input into future design and methodology of studies.
  • Provides statistical support via statistical consultation and data analyses throughout the courses of studies and prepares statistical reports for presentations and publications.
  • Collaborates in coordinating statistical analysis and protocol data between protocols by providing statistical consulting on an ad hoc basis.
  • Provides relevant statistical and project status updates to research staff. Recommends and implements changes as needed.
  • Takes a leadership role in organizing the data analytic team in collaboration with the senior scientists.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 13 years of full-time post-doctoral work experience conducting complex statistical analyses.
  • At least 3 years of full-time post-doctoral experience analyzing and modeling health-related research data.
  • Capability to apply statistical approaches and use specialized statistical software to analyze and model data in an enterprise data environment.
  • Capability to use sophisticated research-supported statistical techniques and write code/syntax to solve complex statistical problems.
  • Capability to propose valid statistical solutions to psychological health research problems based on available data.
  • Capability to present data and interpretations in research reports and briefs.
  • Experience in the design of clinical trials.
  • Knowledge of medical science and research.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
