About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support reporting, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making initiatives. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams, develop impactful dashboards and reports, and provide actionable insights that support organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret data to improve operational performance, reporting accuracy, and strategic planning efforts.
- Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
- Experience with data cleansing, transformation, and modeling.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Pivot Tables
- Power Query
- Advanced Formulas
- Macros
Skills
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or other analytics tools.
- Experience with VBA and Power Apps.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and data management best practices.
Benefits
- Contract position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Pay
$34/hour
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (onsite, not remote).
Additional Information
- Pre-employment requirements include successful completion of a panel interview, background check, fingerprinting, drug screening, and any applicable assessments.
- Candidates must be based in the Houston area; relocation assistance is not provided.
