About the role

The RN - Maternal Child Educator at Baptist Health is responsible for educating prospective parents and families on various aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pregnant women, their partners, family members, and friends for labor, birth, and postpartum experiences.
• Provide education on the care of newborns.
• Conduct childbirth education classes.
• Occasionally perform additional duties within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Expertise and/or certification in women's health, obstetrical, or neonatal nursing education required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing, preferably a Bachelor's degree.

Skills

• Good public relations skills.
• Ability to plan and conduct education activities.
• Professional demeanor.
• Operate equipment used with childbirth education classes.
