Job Duties
- Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties.
- This includes areas of carpentry, flooring, drywall, cabinets and countertops, and other general small repairs.
- Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary.
- Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents’ homes.
- Manage each individual portion of the project assigned from assignment to completion.
- Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in the role.
- Perform seasonal maintenance repairs as listed on the Spring/Summer and Winter/Fall checklists failures as well as assist with City inspection generated work orders as necessary.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents and site offices/management by ensuring small project requests, questions, and concerns are addressed and responded to in a timely manner, along with making referrals to their supervisor, Regional Maintenance Manager, or property manager as appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Equivalent education with 3+ years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
- Good working knowledge of more complicated and time-consuming maintenance repairs.
- Some previous maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC mechanical repair, light construction experience preferred.
- Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
