Small Packager

About the Role

This position maintains production and distribution of products by delivering production materials and supplies to the production area, packaging and staging finished products, and operating filling lines for product or chemical packaging.

Responsibilities

• Move material to filling line.
• Fill bottles of various sizes to exact weight.
• Operate weight scales at all filling locations.
• Set up and use the automatic label line and automated capper.
• Operate the heat sealer at all filling locations.
• Package bottles into cases and label for shipping.
• Maintain all associated work areas in a clean, neat manner during the entire shift.
• Safely handle chemicals and effectively clean all designated plant areas.
• Remove plant-generated waste to the trash.
• Attend all company-mandated training sessions, including Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Perform basic maintenance and adjustments on filling equipment.
• Safely transport materials using a forklift.
• Follow proper procedures as described in ISO and comply with all Ques Industries policies and procedures.
• Write legibly and properly follow all verbal and written instructions.
• Lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed by plant management.
• Conduct accurate inventory of materials.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in chemical blending, mixing, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret batch tickets, SDSs, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Willingness to work in an environment with exposure to chemicals and odors and commitment to wearing PPE.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, noise, and moving machinery. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and respirators is required. May require overtime and shift work depending on production needs.
