Small Engine Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe operation of the theme parks landscape tools and equipment.
• Inspect and repair lawn mowers, chainsaws, blowers, snow throwers, weed eaters, power pruners, shears, water pumps.
• Keep all records and documentation updated daily, accessible, and organized.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer's specifications, procedures, and state regulations and document accordingly.
• Operate within Six Flags' policies and procedures.
• Maintain a parts inventory, record all used parts, and notify supervisors of any parts and materials necessary for safe and continuous operation.
• Work in a team environment, direct, advise, and/or work in conjunction with other trades.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and ensure shop and equipment are clean and visually compliant with manufacturer's specifications, guest, and Six Flags expectations.
• Directly perform tasks such as lifting 50 pounds without injury, working in all weather conditions, standing for long periods, climbing stairs and ladders repeatedly, bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and working overhead.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have 3-4 years of experience in repairing small engines and upholding equipment.
• Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including reading, speaking, and understanding the English language.
• Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time, and as many as 14 hours a day.
• Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
