Machine Operator Assistant

Job Description

Produce product using high-speed printing equipment in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Aid and function as backup to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices
• Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production
• Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities
• Assist with set-up and/or change over activities with in allotted time
• Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures
• Actively engage in safety programs
• Absorb and train other team members as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process
• Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace
• Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence
• Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level
• Well-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinker
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements

• Frequent talking and hearing
• Occasional walking, climbing, squatting & stooping; reaching with hands and arms; using hands and fingers to feel, handle, push/pull levers & buttons, and operating various tools
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus
