Responsibilities
- Deliver live phone consultations to veterinary clients regarding lab results and treatment options
- Guide clinicians on specimen handling techniques and accuracy factors
- Advise on the company reference laboratory tests and interpretation of results
- Support customers using Point-of-Care diagnostic systems
- Manage a consistent caseload and meet turnaround expectations
- Document consultation interactions accurately within the CRM system
- Participate in consulting service meetings and continuing education events
Qualifications
- DVM (or equivalent veterinary degree) with ACVIM (Small Animal Internal Medicine) board certification or equivalent
- Active veterinary license applicable to the state or province
- Strong clinical expertise in small animal internal medicine and diagnostic interpretation
- Excellent communication skills for relaying complex medical information over the phone
- Comfortable working in a remote, technology-enabled environment
- Commitment to ongoing education and maintaining Diplomate status
- Ability to manage multiple consultations in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English; other language skills advantageous
