SMA Portfolio Manager
Responsibilities
- Manage taxable US investment grade fixed income SMAs for Neuberger’s Intermediary and Private Net Worth sales channels.
- Mandates include Short Duration, Intermediate, Core, and Corporate Ladders.
- Responsible for portfolio positioning, trade modeling, managing cash flows, trade execution across a wide variety of fixed income asset classes, and monitoring risk.
- Collaborate closely with Neuberger’s fixed income sector teams, to identify investment opportunities across a variety of asset classes, including US Treasuries, Agencies, Investment Grade Corporate Bonds, and Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities and implement them.
- Daily monitoring of portfolios to ensure they remain in compliance with investment strategies and guidelines.
- Partner with Municipal Bond team in managing tax-aware strategies.
- Collaborate with Client Portfolio Managers, keeping them abreast of the strategies and investment views.
- Maintain strong counterparty relationships with daily interaction across sales and trading.
- Aid in monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including attribution, writing commentaries, and client reviews, as well as collateral documents and RFPs.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in asset management.
- Experience managing and trading investment grade fixed income Separately Managed Accounts.
- Deep knowledge of fixed income markets, including investment grade corporates, US Treasuries, Agencies, and Agency MBS.
- Bachelor’s degree required within finance, economics, mathematics, or related field, MBA and/or CFA a plus.
- Highly motivated team player, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who works with a sense of urgency and has the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a fast-paced environment; work under pressure and independently evaluate investment ideas and take ownership of investment performance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
- Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Investor Tools.
Benefits
Compensation Details: The salary range for this role is $150,000-$185,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
